Betty Jane Hoffman

Betty Jane Hoffman, 98, of Selinsgrove, entered into rest Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 19, 1927, in Richfield, a daughter of the late Maurice, Sr. and Susan (Graybill) Sheaffer. On March 25, 1946, she married Vernon Hoffman, who preceded her in death June 13, 1987.

Betty attended Upper Schoolhouse, in Heister Valley.

She was a proud homemaker for most of her life.

Betty enjoyed crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Long and her husband, Paul, Jr., of Selinsgrove; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and her husband of 41 years, Betty was preceded in death by two daughters, Cindy in 2015, and Karen in 2019; all of her siblings; a grandson, Marvin Bingaman, Jr. in 2023; two great-grandsons, Marvin Bingaman III and Dennis Yoder, Jr.; and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Madison Moyer.

Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
