Beulah V. Shirk

Beulah V. Shirk, 98, of Richfield, entered into rest on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Brookline Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Mifflintown.

She was born February 14, 1928, in Richfield, a daughter of the late Edgar and Ida Mae (Graybill) Reichenbach. On April 24, 1948, she married Herbert Frank Shirk, who preceded her in death January 29, 2020.

Beulah attended Stahl’s School in Richfield.

She was a homemaker and very dedicated to her family.

Beulah was a member of Richfield Community Church.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, braiding rugs, embroidery and crocheting - especially doilies. She liked to cook and bake for her family and often tried out new recipes. She and Herbert enjoyed listening to polka music.

Beulah is survived by five children, Linda Troutman, Donald Shirk, Victor Shirk, June Loncar and her husband, Steve, and Steven Shirk and his wife, Julie; 8 grandchildren, Darrell Troutman, Melissa Zile and her husband, Ben, Lori Rockey and her husband, Keith, David Sidler, Ryan Shirk and his wife, Jennifer, Kaylee Shirk, Kristin Kemper, and Rehanna Loncar; 6 great-grandchildren, Hannah Rockey, Remington Shirk, Lily Tolbert, Raven Housley, Michael Kemper, and Vivien Kemper; and one sister, June Jaffee of Sante Fe.

In addition to her parents and her loving husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Faith Sidler and Judy Shirk; two sons-in-law, David Sidler and Dean Troutman; 6 sisters, Sadie Fultz, Dorothy Reichenbach, Evelyn Snyder, Pauline Dressler, Erma Reichenbach, and Verna Fertenbaugh; and two brothers, Bryan Reichenbach and Ammon Reichenbach.

Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2026, at Richfield Community Church, 149 Church Street, Richfield, PA 17086, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Brian Myfelt officiating.

Burial will follow in Richfield Union Cemetery.
