Carol L. Houseworth, 73, of McAlisterville, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Richfield Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Carol was born on November 18, 1952, in Liverpool, a daughter of the late Harry A. and Beulah E. (Kerstetter) Arnold. Early in life, she married the late Lester Houseworth who preceded her in passing in 2008.

Carol was a 1971 graduate of Selinsgrove High School. As a young woman, she worked in several of the area garment factories. She was a homemaker most of her life.

She enjoyed reading romance novels, magazines, and newspapers, doing word search and crossword puzzles, putting puzzles together, watching animal shows on television, looking at cookbooks, cooking and baking for her family and friends, and she was known for her famous lemon meringue pie.

Carol is lovingly survived by her siblings, Trudy Hile, Deb Brubaker, George Weader and his wife Brenda, James Weader and his wife Esther, Randy Arnold and his wife Roxanne, and Jody Arnold; foster daughters, Joanne and Bethann; special nephew, Chad Houseworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Carol is preceded in passing by her brother, Rodney Arnold; sister, Mary Ruppert; and grandmother, Frances Kreitzer.

A memorial service will be held in the future at the discretion of the family.
