Cathy M. Kratzer

Cathy M. Kratzer, 67, of Port Trevorton, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at home.

She was born August 13, 1958, in Sunbury, a daughter of Pauline (Shaffer) Kratzer of Port Trevorton and the late Charles R. Kratzer.

Cathy was a graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School. She also attended Hershey Junior College, now Harrisburg Area Community College, for two years.

She began working when she was 13, as an assistant at a resort in Maine, which was owned by her aunt, Fay. She worked various other jobs after that, including at Sun-Re Cheese, Blough-Wagner in Middleburg, and at the Rag Shop. Prior to retiring, she worked as head cashier at Walmart.

Cathy enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Potter County, playing cards, doing needlework, watching sports, especially the Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending time with her cats.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Amy Riddell and her longtime companion, Robert Rowe; two aunts, Mary Walker and Fay Leslie; and two uncles, Allen and Roy Kratzer.

In addition to her father, Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, Sam Kratzer; and her beloved kitties.

Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Roger Womer officiating.

Burial will follow in Witmer’s Memorial Cemetery.
