Fred A. Stimeling, 77, of Richfield, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at home with his loving wife and son by his side.

He was born May 31, 1948, in Monroe Township, a son of the late George W. and Margaret M. (Sheaffer) Stimeling. On October 13, 1973, he married the former Colleen C. Carvell, who survives.

Fred was a graduate of East Juniata High School.

He served in the United States Army from 1968 until his honorable discharge to the reserves in 1971.

Fred worked many years at East Salem Shirt Factory, where he began as a spreader, transitioned to a cutter, and eventually became a supervisor. Before retiring, he worked as warehouse supervisor at the Youth Detention Center in Loysville.

He attended Evendale Bible Church.

Fred enjoyed cutting firewood, building projects, and watching Football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by a son, Cameron Stimeling; and a half-sister, Ruth.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a sister, Florane Stake; a brother, Ralph Stimeling; and a half-brother, Alton Graybill.

Burial will be private in Lauver’s Mennonite Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Fred’s name can be made to Evendale Bible Church, 1289 Sand Valley Road, Richfield, PA 17086.
