Harold E. Heintzelman

Harold E. “Gene” Heintzelman, 85, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Richfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation with his loving family by his side.

Harold was born on December 8, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant Mills, a son of the late Paul and Dorothy (Stahr) Heintzelman, Sr. On May 26, 1962, he married the love of his life, Vivian K. (Brubaker) Heintzelman.

He attended Middleburg High School. Harold later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he was honorably discharged in 1963.

Harold grew up on the family farm, and farming became his life. After he married Vivian, and was discharged from the Marines, he purchased the family farm in 1964. He enjoyed farming and living on the farm for 85 years! In addition to farming, he was a self-employed masonry contractor for 37 years.

His memberships included the Church of the Nazarene in Selinsgrove and the Red Yolk Hunting Club in Potter County.

He loved hunting deer with the gang, and later in life, groundhog hunting, riding 4-wheelers, and spending precious time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by his daughter, Dr. Robin (Mike) Adams; son, Nick Heintzelman; grandchildren, Ellen (Ryan) Roush, Dallen Heintzelman, Brandon (Jessica) Adams, and Jordan Adams; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Phoebe, and Finley; siblings, Paul Heintzelman, Jr., Sarah Jane Campbell, Ronald Heintzelman, Richard Heintzelman, Rudy Heintzelman, William Heintzelman, and Rebecca Napp.

He is preceded in passing by his brother, Donald Heintzelman, in infancy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
