John B. Spade

John B. Spade, 82, of McAlisterville, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

He was the son of John W. and Mary (Willow) Spade. On July 5, 1968, he married Emma Margaret Woodward, who survives.

John was a member of the Harrisburg Local Carpentry Union.

He was a devoted husband, father, pap, and brother.

John is survived by three daughters, Donna (Mike) Eby, Marcia (Terry) Cash, and Tammy (Greg) Amendola; 6 grandchildren, Sabrina Thumma and her partner, Alan (Shannon) Boop, Jessica Waltman, Jon (Brittani) Quay, Damian Amendola, and Darian Amendola and his partner, Alana Pugh; two step-grandchildren, Michael (Jess) Eby, Mindy (Josh) Morrison; 11 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Les and Lyle.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lavonda Weaver, Gary Spade, and Deanna Goodling.

John was best known for his sense of humor and devotion to his family. He was always such a positive person and never had an unkind word about anyone. His family was lucky to have such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather in their lives.

Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 9, 2026, at George P. Garman Funeral Homes, 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Brittin Stimeling officiating.

Burial will be private in Richfield Union Cemetery.
