Judy Irene (Reitz) Elsasser, 83, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Brookdale Graysonview, Selinsgrove, with her loving family by her side.
Judy was born on October 31, 1942, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late James and Florence (Wintersteen) Reitz. On June 7, 1980, she married her husband, Paul L. Elsasser, who preceded her in passing on November 23, 2020.
She graduated from Sunbury High School. While in high school, Judy worked at Grants Department Store. After high school she worked many years at Wilhold in Sunbury, and after 20 years of employment, she retired from AMP, Inc. in 1998.
Judy was a member of Richfield Life Ministries Church. She enjoyed extending hospitality, hosting guests, and attending the ladies retreats with her church friends.
Her hobbies included painting wood crafts, cooking, baking, feeding everyone, visits with family, friends, and neighbors, and spending precious time with her children and grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her children, Sherry (Doug) Mengle of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Brian (Rebecca) Elsasser of Selinsgrove, and Douglas (Ann) Dorman of Sunbury; grandchildren, Deanna (Jeff) Bordner, Blake (Valerie) Elsasser, Lauren (Jared) Smith, Douglas (Tangalina) Dorman, Jr., and Stephanie (Fiance’ Liam Miriello) Mengle; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Linley, Luke, Noah, Makaylee, Emma, Quinn, Joeigh, Virginia, and James; siblings, Robert (Teresa) Reitz of Sunbury, Daniel Reitz of Sunbury, Tammy (Jason) Roush of Middleburg, Ginger (Steve) Gelnett of Middleburg, Jeff (Molly) Reitz of Selinsgrove, and Michael Reitz of South Carolina.
She is preceded in passing by her husband; parents; and siblings, Victoria Reitz, Edward Reitz, and Margaret “Peggy” Lenig.
A viewing will be held at the Richfield Life Ministries Church, 53 Mill Road, Richfield, PA 17086, on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Aaron Benner officiating.
Interment will immediately follow in St. Johns United Methodist Church Cemetery near Cocolamus.
