Kevin A. Meiser, Sr.

Kevin A. Meiser, Sr., 62, entered into rest on Sunday, January 18, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born May 28, 1963, the son of the late Glenn “Willard” Meiser and Roberta (Bickel) Meiser. On March 10, 1990, he married Christine (Yearick) Meiser, who survives. His passing breaks a marital union of 35 years.

Kevin was employed by Sunbury Textile Mills. He was an active, life member, of the Freeburg Volunteer Fire Company where he served in a variety of leadership roles, including: deputy chief, assistant chief, president, pump operator, driver, and as a member of the fire police.

Kevin enjoyed hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Christine Meiser, he is survived by his mother Roberta Meiser, a sister Glenda Kuster (Timm); sons Justin Meiser (Kelly Shea), Kevin Meiser, Jr., and Michael Meiser; stepson Malcolm Derk (Erin Goedegebuure); and eleven grandchildren.

A visitation with the family is planned at the Freeburg Volunteer Fire Company on January 31 from 11 a.m. to noon with a light lunch provided at noon. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Freeburg Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 29, Freeburg, PA 17827.
