Laura D. (Barner) DePaolis

Laura D. (Barner) DePaolis, 92, of Butler, formerly of Oriental, entered into rest on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 19, 1934, in Oriental, a daughter of the late George E. and L. Dorothy (Weller) Barner. She married James DePaolis, Jr. in 1957. He preceded her in death February 15, 1982.

Laura was a 1951 graduate of Greenwood High School.

She began working for Nationwide Insurance in 1955 and remained there for over 8 years. She retired as a receptionist at the YWCA in Butler at age 79.

Laura’s greatest joys were reading and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Glen Keener, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister, Karen R. Barner of Lewisburg; niece, Sue Byers and her husband Keith of Millerstown; nephew, Victor Barner of Liverpool; great-nephews, Cole, Tyler, and Matthew Barner all of Liverpool; and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister-in-law, G. Robert Barner and Michael and Judy Barner.

Burial will be private in Liverpool Union Cemetery.
