Marlene M. (Kling) Wendt, 82, of Thompsontown, entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown, PA.
Marlene was born on Wednesday, October 30, 1940, in Nossville, Tell Township, Huntington County, PA, a daughter of the late Jeff Lawrence and Beulah (Jeffries) Kling. In 1960, she married Paul E. Wendt, who preceded her in passing on August 26, 2020.
Marlene was a 1959 graduate of Orbisonia High School. She was employed as a clerk typist for many years and retired from the PA Department of Motor Vehicles.
Her greatest enjoyment was attending the Middleburg Auction on Tuesday’s.
Marlene is survived by her sister-in-law, Doris Kling; nephews, Mike, Jeff, and Clay; her special friend, Melinda Meiser and her husband, Harry; and her precious fur baby, Mollie Mae.
She is preceded in passing by her husband, parents, and her brother, Max Kling.
A viewing will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, with Pastor Brittin Stimeling officiating.
Interment will immediately follow in Salem Cemetery, Blairs Mills, Huntington County, PA.
