Martha Mae Miller

Martha Mae Miller, 90, formerly of Millerstown, entered into rest Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, Harrisburg.

She was born September 25, 1934, in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Henry J. Fox, Sr. and Jeanette (Cramer). On December 18, 1950, she married Hiram “Jack” H. Miller, who preceded her in death December 22, 2000.

Martha attended what is now Greenwood Area High School.

She was primarily a homemaker, but worked various side jobs throughout her life, including at Food Fair, Meg’s Macaroni, Konhause Farms, and delivering newspapers.

Martha was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and taught swimming lessons in Marysville, for the American Red Cross.

She enjoyed showing & riding horses and going on trail rides, doing yardwork, spending time with her grandkids, caring for animals, and storytelling. She was an avid animal lover and there are very few animals that she didn’t have as a pet at some point in her life.

Martha is survived by five children and their spouses, Jack Miller, Carol and Ronald Baker, Holly and Stephen Tarr, Emma and Mark Goodling, and Jason and Amber Miller; 10 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Jo Earnest; and 6 siblings, Margret Mitchell, Edward Fox, Elmer Fox, Henry Fox, Jr., Sarah Fox, and Helen Powell.

Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N Front St., Liverpool, PA 17045, where a funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., with Chaplain Alan Echard officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
