Marvin W. Kline, 86, of Newport, entered into rest on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Premier Perry Village, New Bloomfield.

He was born August 4, 1939, in Oriental, a son of the late William C. and Bara O. (Glace) Kline.

Marvin was a graduate of Newport High School.

He honorably served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, including during the Vietnam Era.

Marvin also worked security with the Capitol Police for 22 years.

He was a member of the Newport Assembly of God Church, where he volunteered at their Bread of Life Food Pantry. He was also a member of the Cumberland Valley Tres Dias Organization and volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol.

Marvin was an avid Ford enthusiast and enjoyed attending car shows and showing his Ford truck, drag racing, and hot rods.

He is survived by two sons, Robert W. Kline and his wife, Amy, and William R. Kline; three grandchildren, Crystal Kline, Taylor Kline, and Elizabeth Kline; two brothers, Hayes Kline and his wife, Joyce, and Glenn Kline; one sister, Jewel Stailey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Kline.

Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front Street, Liverpool, PA 17045, where a funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Gary Bellis officiating.

Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
