Nancy B. (Barner) Arnold, 89, of Liverpool, entered into rest on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Stonebridge Health & Rehab Center, Duncannon.
She was born April 27, 1937, in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Paul E. Barner and Daisy (Craft) Mulligan. On June 14, 1956, she married Clifford E. Arnold, who survives.
Nancy was a graduate of Greenwood High School.
Upon graduation, she worked as a secretary, in the capital, for the Department of Education. She then worked at Eileen Hope Dress Factory for 25 years, and ran the family flooring business, Barner’s House of Floors.
Nancy was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Liverpool, where she participated in the church choir and council, and served on various committees. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, participated in Tall Cedars, and accompanied her husband at 33rd Degree Masonic events.
She was a great seamstress and loved making clothing for her children. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, and entertaining friends.
In addition to her devoted husband of 70 years, Nancy is survived by five children, Angela Noll (Phil), Douglas Arnold, Brenda Mark (John), Gregory “Joe” Arnold, and Lewis “Lew” Arnold; 9 grandchildren, Justin Noll (Samantha), Michelle Chea, Trisha Noll (Jordan Brough), Melissa Weader (Brian), Jeromy Arnold (Morgan Butterfield), Chris Mark (Megan), Nicole McGeehan, Gregory Arnold, II (Carey Sweetser), and David Arnold (Lindsay Tyler); 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a half-brother, retired U.S. Air Force Major Scott Barner; and a half sister, Kathy Edgren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson-in-law, Michael McGeehan.
Family and friends are welcome from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2026, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1000 N Front St., Liverpool, where a funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m., with Rev. Allen Christy Dayal Vijjeswarapu officiating.
Burial will follow in Liverpool Union Cemetery.
