Patty Marie (Bogol) Gaugler, 71, of Selinsgrove, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 21, 1954, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Stephen and Louise (McDade) Bogol. On May 6, 1979, she married Robert Lee Gaugler, who preceded her in death July 22, 2007.

Patty was a 1972 graduate of Brownsville Area Senior High and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Ambassador College.

She was very involved in the community, as a member of the United Church of God in Mexico, Pennsylvania, Piecemakers Quilt Guild, Susquehanna Valley Chorale, Selinsgrove Book Club, and Cookbook Club, and volunteering her time with the Red Cross, Lifelong Learning in Lewisburg and Selinsgrove, and as a tutor for adult literacy for 12 years.

Patty was known for her adventurous spirit and enjoyed quilting, reading, travelling, volunteering at her church, arranging flowers, trying new foods, and learning new things. She also had a great love of her cats, music, movies, and live theatre.

She is survived by her sister, Linda Lou Cohen of Steelton; brother, Stephen M. Bogol and his wife, Cindy, of Masontown; four sisters-in-law, Linda Bogol, Mary Willhide, Rose Massie and her husband, John, and Kathy Charles and her husband, Tom; and one brother-in-law, Bob Zeigler.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Patty was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Ernest; and her sister-in-law, Linda (Gaugler) Zeigler.

Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 2, 2026, at George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Bart Bornhorst and Elder John Massie officiating.

Burial will be private in Susquehanna Mennonite Cemetery, Port Trevorton.
