Robert W. Drew
August 6, 1940 — April 1, 2025
Robert W. Drew, 84, of Liverpool, entered into rest at 9:10 pm, Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Transitions Healthcare, Duncannon, surrounded by family.
He was born August 6, 1940, in Allenville, Illinois, a son of the late Robert G. and Sarah K. (Turner) Drew.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce A. (Aucker) Drew; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kelly Drew of Liverpool; one daughter, Laurie Whitmyer of Enola; two granddaughters, Kenzie and Molly; one sister, Linda of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a 1958 graduate of Newport Joint High School.
He served in the United States Army from 1957 until his honorable discharge in 1960. Robert was employed as a truck driver for Teamsters Union 776, Harrisburg and Supervalu Transportation. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 340, Duncannon and the New Bloomfield VFW. Robert enjoyed restoring old vehicles, car shows and watching NASCAR racing.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. at the Hunter’s Valley Church, Hunters Church Road, Liverpool, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert's name can be made to the Liverpool Ambulance and Fire Company, 309 N Market St, Liverpool, PA 17045.
