Rosalene "Rosie" I. Leister

April 3, 1938 — May 2, 2025

Richfield

Rosalene “Rosie” I. Leister, 87, of Richfield, entered into rest Friday, May 2, 2025, at home.

She was born April 3, 1938, in Cocolamus, a daughter of the late Mabel Elsasser. On November 9, 1957, she married Delbert E. Leister, who preceded her in death April 4, 2015.

Rosie was employed as a seamstress at the Richfield Shirt Factory and Lyons’ Fashions in McAlisterville. She was also an avid salesman for Fashion Wagon clothing, Country Pine décor, and Avon. She was also a stay-at-home mom.

She was a member of the Richfield Community Methodist Church and served on the Richfield Dutch Days Committee.

Rosie enjoyed collecting dolls and baskets, shopping, planting her flowers, as she loved petunias, going to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s events, and Thursday nights with her special TOPS “chicks.” She mostly enjoyed time spent with family and friends, and especially, being Mommaw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she cherished.

She is survived by four children and their spouses, Denis and Terri Leister of McAlisterville, Greg and Karen Leister of Richfield, Deb and Dennis Troutman of Georgia, and Brenda and Gary Graybill of McAlisterville; five grandchildren, Matthew (Bobbie) Leister, Chelsea (Jonah) Howe, Marah (Shane) Erickson, Whitney (Joe) D’Arcy, and Zoey Graybill; four great-grandsons, Maddox and Parker Leister, Wilder Erickson, and Finn D’Arcy; two great-granddaughters, Mabel Grace Howe and Lucy D’Arcy; two step-grandchildren, Skylar (Brittany) Pontius and Kesley (Jared) Branch; and four step-great-grandchildren, Lailyn, Laci, Landri, and Huxton.

In addition to her husband, Rosie was preceded in death by a grandson in infancy, Jason Graybill.

Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 752 Main Street, Richfield, PA 17086, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Brian Myfelt officiating.

Burial will follow in the Richfield Union Cemetery.
