Ruth Ann Apple, of Mechanicsburg, born June 20,1953, in Lewistown, PA, entered her eternal rest on Thursday, November 27, 2025, with family by her side.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Apple, with whom she shared 53+ years of marriage. She is also survived by her daughter, Tricia (Apple) Baugus, and husband, Bruce, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two grandsons, Nathanael Baugus and wife Naomi, of Durham, North Carolina, Bryant Baugus and wife Lauren, of Starkville, MS; two great granddaughters, Ingrid and Ruth Baugus; a sister Linda (Hockenbroch) Minium and husband Steve; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Deb Apple and Warren and Connie Wagner; and seven nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Alma (Pyle) Hockenbroch, and stepfather Raymond Hepner.

Ruth Ann was a graduate of Middleburg High School, class of 1971.

She worked various places over the years including Penn Dot in Selinsgrove, Colonial Real Estate in Mifflinburg, Altoona Board of Realtors in Altoona, a computer tech company in Mechanicsburg, and for Livingston and Magilton Realtors in Harrisburg.

She enjoyed sewing, music, playing the piano and attending music jams, where she and her husband would sing duets. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. A 50th wedding anniversary party with family, friends, and jammers held at Stone Ridge Acres, McAlisterville, was a particularly fond memory.

Ruth Ann was a member of Country and Town Baptist Church, Mechanicsburg.

After battling kidney disease for 43 years, including three kidney transplants and 13 plus years on dialysis in recent years, as well as surviving esophageal and colon cancer, she was ready to meet her savior.

Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025, at George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Todd Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in Richfield Union Cemetery.
