Ruth Irene Maneval

Ruth Irene Maneval, 83, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, entered eternal rest at her home surrounded by family and friends, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Ruth was born August 3, 1942, in Danville, a daughter of the late Bennie B. and Sarah (Willow) Frey. On November 28, 1957, she married the love of her life, John W. Maneval.

Ruth and John were farmers, and she enjoyed being a homemaker for her family.

She loved flowers, and she enjoyed cooking, baking, camping with her family, especially her twin sister, having picnics, attending reunions, watching her hummingbirds while she sat on her front porch, and listening to country music. Her greatest joy in life was her precious grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her husband, John; her loving children, Debbie Maneval and her husband Rick which was Ruth’s favorite son-in-law, Terry (known as Jake) Maneval and his wife Lisa, and Dale Maneval and his wife Tracy; her precious grandchildren, Jason Maneval and his wife Cheryl, Jen Stahl and her husband Tim, William Maneval, Maria Maneval, Benjamin Maneval, Zebulon Ritter and his wife Molly, Jenefier Reid, Wyatt Maneval and his companion Brittany, and Sarah Hoffman and her husband Ethan; great-grandchildren, Lillie, Breanna, TJ, Jay, Sophia, Faith, Dallas, Alexa, Abe, Lizzy, and JB; sister-in-law, Ruth Keister and her husband Terry; and brothers-in-law, Richard Maneval and Eugene Maneval.

She is preceded in passing by her parents; twin sister, Gloria Frymoyer and husband Bob; sister, Catherine Goodling and husband Kenneth; brother, Harold Frey and wife Rachael; brother-in-law, Sam Maneval and his wife Faye; and sister-in-law, Norma Maneval.

A public viewing will be held at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route, 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James Niemond officiating and Michelle Feltman speaking.

Internment will immediately follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Mills.

The family would like to thank her caregivers and hospice personnel for the loving care they provided to Ruth.
