It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Tammy St. John, 47, of Mifflintown, on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
She was born October 10, 1977, in Lewistown, a daughter of Lana (Street) Ferguson of Thompsontown and the late Harold “Bill” Ferguson.
Tammy was a graduate of Greenwood High School.
She was a manager at Burger King and worked at several of their local locations since 1999, helping open the Middleburg and Newport locations. She was very devoted to her career, assisting with many sponsorships within the community, and had a special bond with her Burger King crew.
Tammy enjoyed country music concerts, spending time with her family, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter and best friend, Brittany St. John and her fiancé, James Gunter of Port Royal; a sister, Carey Leach of Port Royal; a niece, Madison Leach of Port Royal; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to her father, Tammy was preceded in death by an uncle, Russell “Bucky” Ferguson; and a cousin, Russell Ferguson, Jr.
Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2025, and 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Turkey Valley United Methodist Church, 13606 Route 235, Millerstown, PA 17062, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Wyatt Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery, Bethlehem Cemetery.
