Thomas R. “Tom” Dressler, Sr., entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Stonebridge Health and Rehab Center in Duncannon.
Tom was born on July 21, 1947, in Thompsontown, a son of the late Gerald and Minnie (Frey) Dressler. On January 18, 1969, he married Sharon (Glace) Dressler who preceded him in passing on April 6, 2020.
Tom graduated from Greenwood Joint High School in 1965. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Army from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1968.
He was a diesel mechanic and retired in 2004 from Yellow Freight in Lancaster. Tom was a member of Teamsters Local Union No. 771, a life member of the NRA, and a member of the Liverpool American Legion Post 364.
He enjoyed hunting, shooting, gardening, going to camp, and spending time with friends and family.
Tom is survived by his son, Thomas R. Dressler, Jr. and his wife Amy; granddaughter, Lauren Bronish and her husband Zach; sister-in-law, Helen Dressler; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Tonya Snyder; and siblings, Richard Dressler, Palmer Dressler and his wife Evelyn, and Patsy Howell and her husband Carson.
Services will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in loving memory of Tom may be made to the Liverpool American Legion Post 364, 400 Union Street, Liverpool, PA 17045.
