Tina L. Burgess, 68, of Selinsgrove, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at UPMC in Williamsport.
Tina was born on Halloween, October 31, 1957, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Philip and Ruth (Wilt) Burgess.
Tina was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School and Hagerstown Business College in Maryland.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, formerly employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare at the Laurelton Center, Harrisburg Center, and later retiring from the Danville Center.
She was a very active volunteer in community organizations including Women of the Moose, Veterans of Foreign Affairs Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Evangelical Hospice, and the local AFSCME where she formerly served as secretary.
You could often find Tina supporting her community and clubs by attending their meetings and events. For many years, she participated in the Selinsgrove Street Fair every September helping Evangelical Hospice with their annual Hospice Chinese Auction.
Anyone that knew Tina knew she had a love for frogs and collecting frog memorabilia. Her frog themed kindness posts on Facebook will be missed by many!
Tina is survived by her brother, Adam Burgess and his wife Dianne; nephews, Jathan “Jake” Burgess and his wife Jessica and Jeremy Burgess; great-nieces, Serena and Maya Burgess; uncle, Rodney Wilt; and numerous cousins.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in passing by her brother, Alan “Bud” Burgess, in 2025.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. The service date and time will be announced on the garmanfh.com website and Facebook page.
The family kindly requests withholding all flowers in memory of Tina due to her allergy to them.
Memorial contributions in loving memory of Tina may be forwarded to WellSpan Hospice Services, 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837. Please notate in memory of Tina L. Burgess.
