William “Billy” J. Kratzer, 94, of Port Trevorton, entered into rest Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born April 4, 1931, in Port Trevorton, a son of the late Willard and Evelyn (Kantz) Kratzer. On December 26, 1951, he married the former Gladys Wolf, who preceded him in death in January 2021. They shared 69 years as a beautiful married couple.
Billy was a graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School.
He worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a traffic planning specialist.
Billy attended Witmer’s United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school for over 50 years. He also served as a deputy on the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission for many years and was a member of Boonie Hollow Rod and Gun Club. He also served as a Snyder County Conservation District Board Member for 18 years.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and mowing.
Billy is survived by three children, Sherry (Philip) Dambrosia, James (Doris) Kratzer, and Lori (Keith) Flanders; 4 grandchildren, Matthew (Carrie) Dambrosia, Kimberly Moyer and her companion Andy, Benjamin (Kayla) Kratzer, and Olivia Flanders; 8 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Marcus, Paityn, Nicholas, Christopher, Waylon, Jackson, and Lincoln; and one sister, Caroline Brubaker.
Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2025, at Witmer’s United Methodist Church, 350 Witmer Rd., Port Trevorton, PA 17864, where a celebration of life for Billy and Gladys will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor James Parker officiating.
Burial for both Billy and Gladys will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
