Ray C. Landis, 82, of Liverpool, entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Ray was born on March 29, 1941, in Greenwood Township, Perry County, a son of the late Clarence J. and Orpha E. (Kerstetter) Landis. On November 3, 1962, he married his sweetheart, Donna (Knouse) Landis. They shared over 60 beautiful years creating precious memories together.
Ray worked as a mason laying brick and block for Kerstetter & Teats Masonry Construction from where he retired.
Being a man of faith, Ray was a loyal member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Liverpool.
Ray enjoyed dirt car racing, mowing his lawn, serving his Lord and church, and, especially, spending precious time with his wife, Donna.
Ray is survived by his wife, Donna; sister, Marlene Landis; a special nephew who was like a son to him and Donna, Steven Landis and his wife, Leesa; numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces; and many many friends.
He is preceded in passing by his parents and brothers, Clarence Landis, Jr. and Earl Landis.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1000 N. Front Street, Liverpool, PA 17045, with Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert.
Interment will immediately follow in Liverpool Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Landis kindly requests memorial contributions in loving memory of Ray be made to his church, Good Sheperd Lutheran Church, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
