Vivian I. (Bailor) Shetter, 96, of Millerstown, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 9, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on August 1, 1927, in Mt. Wolf, York County, a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Stahl) Bailor.  On January 15, 1944, she married Ralph E. Shetter, who preceded her in passing on April 19, 2015.

Vivian was a lifetime homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother; and great-great-great-grandmother.  She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was in their Ladies Aide Program and enjoyed helping to make their well-known and famous Easter eggs.  Vivian also served on the Susquehanna Township, Perry County, Election Board for many years.

Vivian enjoyed watching tv, especially golf and Phillies baseball, cooking, canning, and in her earlier years, fishing in the ocean and in Canada and hunting with her husband, and sledding with her children.

Vivian is survived by her children and their spouses, Mildred and Ernest Dressler of Millerstown, Ralph E. and Beatrice E. Shetter, Jean Inch, Jane M. Maneval, and Randy and Theresa Shetter, Sr. all of Liverpool (Oriental); over 100 grandchildren of several generations; and a sister-in-law, Romaine Bailor.

She is preceded in passing by her husband, Ralph; parents, John and Bertha; granddaughter, Robin Kerstetter; grandson, Michael Inch, Sr. and his wife Danielle Inch; son-in-laws, Lester Maneval and Franklin Inch, Sr.; Jean’s companion, Lawrence Teats; two grandsons-in-law, Kenneth Kerlin and Brian May; and sisters and brothers and their spouses, Clarence and Lettie Bailor, Jim and Shirley Bailor, Helen and Leanus Brandt, Kenneth Bailor, Vera and Fred Cramer, Dora and Jim Treet, Ethel and Henry Minck, Gloria and Richard Bean, and Herbert and Evelyn Bailor.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family has entrusted the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front Street, Liverpool, with caring for Mrs. Shetter.
